VETRO BRILLANTE

Like a brilliant shard of glass, this 80’ x 15’ crescent fills one entire segment of the property corner to corner, merging the foreground with the golf course and lake beyond. The curved face of the raised overflow pool is inclined back slightly, clad in a textured basalt to catch the sun and enliven the long sweeping arc as one walks its shimmering profile. Hidden within, a spa rises merely 1/4” so as to fuse Within and not break the purity of the overall geometry.

In similar form, an overflow bowl provides the centerpiece at the master garden patio, while a custom precast concrete fire pit (consisting of two offset crescents) is the social hub on the public side of the home.

Previously the majority of the back had been caged in by view fencing that was not required since the lot was elevated and already met the pool barrier requirements. The firepit area became “part of the golf course” when the cage was removed, further expanding the sense of spaciousness that was the key asset of this property.
