Sweeping sensual lines, interlacing and interweaving, dance through this acutely angled space to round it out and give it flow. A singular ironwood tree, bonsai perfection, adorns the corner and frames the mountain vista view.
This was a Rio Verde Re-do. The previous property walls were monotonous and they came down too, so we were able to reshape them into a distinct backdrop that not only accentuated the lines of the pool, but also embraced key focal planting areas with bold strokes of color, reminiscent of the vivid Arizona landscape.

A contemporary twist on traditional themes, with Luis Barragán as the inspiration, lead to this vivid modern reflecting pool and artfully composed garden space.

Across the water, the vanishing edge spa is the visual draw, reflecting the sculptural form of the olive tree, all enjoyed from the fire pit seating area. The line between water and landscape is blurred by a slight detail of tile, holding back the earth.
