“After 40 years in the architectural and exterior design space, it’s time to give back.”

—Kirk Bianchi

Bianchi has opened a limited number of spots on his schedule to mentor those that want to take their craft to the next level, as current projects allow.

Whether you are just starting out, or maybe you’ve been in the craft for many years, you can take advantage of Bianchi’s new passion: inspiring others to excel in this engaging profession.

By passing on his insights and methods, Bianchi can guide you to transform the quality of your work as you learn the structured and specific methodology he has honed over decades, and founded on the timeless principles of art and architecture handed down through the centuries, but often forgotten and underutilized in this day and age.

Design excellence is teachable, and you can master it, if you know and apply the strategies that the masters used in your own work.

With Bianchi as your mentor, you will learn to captivate clients with your creations and become highly sought after as one who “quiets the noise” for your own clientele. You’ll bring a nuance and subtlety to your approach, weaving elements together in a truly lyrical way, like a perfectly composed concerto because the visual arts need to be composed, just like music.

The methods Bianchi will impart to you in his mentoring will give you the insights to sculpt the outdoors into a living artform that transcends the ordinary and takes your clients by surprise.

You can truly inspire awe and wonder if you have the right principles guiding you, and your designs will inspire a sense of pride and satisfaction, for you and with your clients.

Your designs will feel like a privilege for your clients to own.

Designers who can work at this level are not viewed as “vendors” by their clients…

They are celebrated and respected. They are esteemed as artists who magically bestow an exquisite sense of beauty and harmony to their patron’s outdoor living space.

They are appreciated. Clients defer to them for their heightened sense of style, where art is melded with function and purpose at the deepest level.

You can be a designer of this caliber… with the right mentor in your corner.

Here’s a video from Phoenix Home & Garden that reveals a few behind the curtain strategies Bianchi employed on this same project:

Ascend To The Next Level Of Design Mastery

You have a shared passion for beautiful work …

But perhaps you don’t yet have the confidence in your design skills to bring a sense of harmony to a space…

To create a design that conveys a peaceful, calming experience where everything is as it should be, working together.

You know more beautiful and sophisticated work exists… but you just can’t quite put your finger on what it is about those sophisticated designs that you should emulate.

Bianchi’s mentorship will add new insights to your repertoire.

First, we must fine tune what you see. Then we will elevate your craft.

You need insightful guidance and feedback that will accelerate your progress and fine tune your workflow, saving you time and energy, and minimizing the angst of mis steps spent on trial and error.

Your client’s exuberant enthusiasm will rekindle your passion and renew your dedication to the craft.

First, Let’s View The Hidden Structure Underlying What is Beautiful…

What you need is a systematic sequence – an ordered method behind your space planning that provides a framework upon which to build.

This is what Bianchi will pass on to you, through his proprietary 12-step Bianchi Method™.

To apply such a system, you must first learn to “see” and ask the question…

Why do we perceive something to be beautiful?

What are the elusive qualities that make the difference?

Bianchi’s life’s work has been the study of this question, seeking to harness these principles that lie just below our perceptions.

And for those that are ready to go to the next level, Bianchi has resolved to make the time to guide them.

Join Kirk in an Exclusive One to One Experience

Now it’s your time to carry the torch.

For designers who are ready to step into the next level of pool and landscape design, Bianchi has opened up a limited number of spaces to partner with him for a side-by-side mentoring experience where he will personally coach you and guide you in applying his 12-step Bianchi Method™ to one of your current design projects.

Working together, he will show you how to perceive and apply the timeless but forgotten principles gleaned from classical art and architecture. These are the fundamentals used by Masters of centuries past. We can apply these to elevate our work in the present.

Bianchi will show you how to apply this method to your designs in an elegant way that no other designer is teaching.

The skills you’ll learn in these mind-shifting sessions will set your work apart from your peers.

You will have an entirely new level of communication with your clients.

You’ll learn to create a design that conveys a peaceful, calming experience where everything is as it should be, harmonious, sublime, lyrical like music frozen in time.

Our work together will be substantial, immersive, and deeply impactful.

It won’t be long before you join the ranks of the few designers who are building magazine worthy projects.

By the end of this experience together, you’ll be poised as an artisan, sought out for your unique way of seeing the world, and the meaningful impact only you can bring to the lives of others.

And then, resulting from your resolve to refine your skills, newfound revenue that is proportional to your project scope and commensurate with your skill and insights will find its way to you.

How Does It Work?

When you apply to work with Bianchi, you’ll want to have a brand-new design for one of your current clients ready to begin. (He’s going to be teaching you from the very beginning of the design process; it’s best to work on a project that you have not yet presented.)

If you don’t yet have a particular client project to apply our efforts to, we can work through a past project as a case study.

First, Bianchi you will view Bianchi’s prerecorded primer called Bianchi Method™️ Primer.

These are game-changing insights that will grant you an overview of the core principles essential to any artful endeavor.

These fundamentals will be your baseline toolkit that you will work from in your one on one coaching efforts, giving you a common language and “why” to work from. These distinctives are constantly violated by those who are not in the know, perpetuating the dissonance of ill-conceived designs to the masses. Don’t let this be you!

If you have not yet taken Bianchi’s Genesis class, D265: Master Designer Methods: Crafting the Outdoor Space as a Living Art Form, offered virtually or live, depending on the season, it is highly recommend taking this as the expanded version of the primer.

Then, Bianchi will work with you in half-day sessions ranging from 4-6 hours, depending on the size and complexity of the project you bring.
Small and medium-sized projects can be done in one session.

Here is a post session interview with Bianchi and one of his graduates, demonstrating the result:

Projects that have multiple areas (side yards, court yards, front yards, etc.) or site complexity (difficult terrain, accessory buildings to be designed, etc.) will take multiple sessions to work through so that you have a completed presentation to share with your client.

Our time together will include:

  • Zoom video calls
  • Bianchi’s live feedback on your work

Every project will have a unique approach depending on the scale of what you would like to work on together, but all are guided by the 12-step method Bianchi will impart to you.

The coaching process is an intuitive flow of teaching, critiquing your work, and demonstrating how to do each piece of the design process, in the right sequence (that most do inverted and in the wrong order).

When you work through my method and implement our collaborative feedback, you’ll end up with a finished design that you can confidently and articulately present to your client, either on your own, or with Bianchi joining in live with you as your guide through the experience.

This is a potent blend of done-with-you design work, personalized guidance, and energizing mentoring that leaves you feeling focused, confident, and knowing exactly what to do next to create the kind of stunning designs your ideal clients are hoping you will bring to fruition for them.

When you have unique skills and insights that consistently delight your clients, they will compensate you for your expertise!

Gain The Confidence & Authority To Articulate Your Designs

Having a well-conceived and thoughtful design isn’t the only benefit of our work together.

You’ll also gain the confidence, skills, and vocabulary to share your design and your process eloquently and authoritatively to your clients. This next-level skillset, and your refined focus on creating beauty for your clients, will lead to a reduced number of revisions on your designs.

By the end of our engagement, you’ll be poised to elevate your work – and you’ll find that your project scope and profitability will increase, as you show your clients the full potential of how to create their ultimate living spaces.

    3. Structures on adjacent lots delineated (easily obtained by tracing on aerial plan)
    4. Panorama photographs showing view corridors from inside, and the backdrop all around the property, as well as looking back to all sides of the house.
    5. A completed questioner for the client to fill out that will elicit their amenity wish list and mood they would like the space to have, (broken down into Must Have and Nice to Have categories) as well as other stylistic factors such as finishes, colors, etc.

Testimonials from Former Students and Industry Peers:

“I am a pool designer and builder in Houston, Texas. Kirk recently led an instructional class for others in our industry to revisit how they approach backyard design. After building pools for 30+ years, and having my own unique approach to design, I felt like a first day kindergartener! Kirk blends in so many disciplines that it can make your head spin. Yet his methods provide a deeper basis of unlocking true beauty. Kirk is so approachable and takes time to show new and unthought of ideas to blend and give harmony to the backyard pallet. I also collaborated with Kirk on a design for a unique client. The client was blown away at the details that we incorporated for them. If you are a pool designer, and you want to elevate your game, you owe it to yourself to invest some time with Kirk.”

-Ryan Pieszchala, Quest Pools

Kirk Bianchi of Bianchi Design is one of my biggest role models in the design industry. Every project or piece of art that I have seen him create always seems to amaze me on a different level each and every time. I have known Kirk professionally for several years now, and I will call him a friend as well. We have engaged each other’s services in outdoor living / swimming pool design, and I have taken educational classes from him as well. My most recent educational experience in a “Master Designer Methods: Crafting the Outdoor Space as a Living Art Form” class through Genesis opened my eyes to seeing the design world through a different perspective. The skills, viewpoints, and methodology that he teaches and uses in his daily work can be noticed in some of the greatest artworks and architecture across the entire world. My most recent trip to Italy would not have been the same without learning how Kirk views and perceives things that most of us would walk right by, rather than understanding the purpose and subject of the art. There are no words to describe the amount of respect I have for Kirk – not only as a friend, but as a designer, a professional, an artist, a father, and as a leader in our industry. Thank you for everything that you have taught me and for the continued support. I hope that one day I will be as big of a pillar in the world of outdoor living design as you have become. You’ve inspired me from the beginning and every day since then!

– Hunter Gary, H2outdoorliving

My name is Skip Phillips, and I am the co-founder of Genesis, the world’s premier pool & spa education format for over 26 years.

It is my privilege to expand on the capabilities of Kirk Bianchi, with whom I first came into contact with in one of our early design schools. It was evident to me, as well as everyone who came into contact with Kirk, that he was a very special talent.

Fast-forward almost 20 years later, Kirk’s program on Master Design is a prerequisite for Master status in our educational system. To suggest that his approach to design is unique is as big of an understatement as his work and details being unparalleled. His vision of the vessel being designed last is as novel as, in my view, his designs are almost sculptural in nature. No one has a grasp on the interconnecting elevation details and water relationships as Kirk.

If you have need of design consultation or education on a project, do yourself a favor and review Kirk’s portfolio. You’ll be glad you did!

Sincerely,
Skip

Kirk Bianchi designs some of the most beautiful and inspiring residential oasis found anywhere. While he’s known for his swimming pools, the spaces he creates are so much more than that, he makes places where the good life unfolds in the midst of gorgeous structures, plantings and water. And, he’s as nice a person as he is talented.

 – Eric Herman AQUA Magazine senior editor

“Kirk’s design prowess and ability to articulate strong design is humbling. I have learned many new concepts and principles and will be a stronger designer because of your investment in others. Thank you, Kirk, for sharing your time and expertise.”

“Kirk is tremendously thorough with his teaching … [he makes it] fun, while also allowing for information to be understood and practiced. Kirk’s passion for teaching while being a tremendously skilled designer certainly makes [working with him] a must.”

“Kirk is a genuine person with a keen artistic eye; he will open your mind immediately and guide you to a new level.”
