Kirk Bianchi of Bianchi Design is one of my biggest role models in the design industry. Every project or piece of art that I have seen him create always seems to amaze me on a different level each and every time. I have known Kirk professionally for several years now, and I will call him a friend as well. We have engaged each other’s services in outdoor living / swimming pool design, and I have taken educational classes from him as well. My most recent educational experience in a “Master Designer Methods: Crafting the Outdoor Space as a Living Art Form” class through Genesis opened my eyes to seeing the design world through a different perspective. My name is Skip Phillips, and I am the co-founder of Genesis, the world’s premier pool & spa education format for over 26 years.
It is my privilege to expand on the capabilities of Kirk Bianchi, with whom I first came into contact with in one of our early design schools. It was evident to me, as well as everyone who came into contact with Kirk, that he was a very special talent.
Fast-forward almost 20 years later, Kirk’s program on Master Design is a prerequisite for Master status in our educational system. To suggest that his approach to design is unique is as big of an understatement as his work and details being unparalleled. His vision of the vessel being designed last is as novel as, in my view, his designs are almost sculptural in nature. No one has a grasp on the interconnecting elevation details and water relationships as Kirk.
